The
sun, with all those planets revolving around it and dependent on it,
can still ripen a bunch of grapes as if it had nothing else in the universe
to do.

has a bright little face like the sun. She truly lights up my life. On lazy
summer afternoons Sun and I nap in the garden. She loves to look at herself
in the mirror. She is always purring. She loves to lay in my arms and fall asleep
purring and drooling! She likes to roll over on her back and look at me upsidedown
while stretching her arms out to me. Sun is the sister of Star
and Moon. Sun's nicknames are: Sun-deela, deet-dat,
la-la, and Dih-Sun.
Sun was very sick in the year 2000. She had temperatures of 102.4 off and on. We brought her to the vet and they diagnosed Sun with FIP, and gave her approximately two weeks to live! I never believed Sun would die. She overcame her illness and is now very healthy. She had a corona virus, but it was not FIP.
Recently, Sun was in the field and the horses were running. One of them struck her on her back with his front hoof. We rushed her to the vet clinic. X-rays revealed no broken bones. However, her right hind hock dropped when she walked, indicating possible nerve damage. But in a couple months, Sun was completely back to normal except for a little muscle atrophy in her right hind leg. She suffered a tingling sensation for a few weeks during her recovery as the nerves regenerated and the swelling in her spine subsided. This bothered her so that she licked two areas on her hind leg until they were raw. After a while she stopped, and the fur grew back completely.
Sun prowls
through giant tansy stems.
Turn
your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you.
-Maori proverb
When you're special to a cat, you're special indeed - she brings to you the
gift of her preference of you, the sight of you, the sound of your voice, the
touch of your hand.

Sun
Sun
watch over me
Way up high
In a tree
Sun look down at me
Sun you shine so bright
Your little face
Shines tonight
Sunlight in the night
Sun don't fade away
Don't grow wings
Or go astray
Just stay here and play
Sun you see in me
What I see
Back in you
Sun I love you too
